Japanese Maple, Acer Dissectun

Acer Dissectum Atropurpureum (Japanese Maple) is known for its finely dissected, lacy leaves that are a deep purple-red color. The foliage turns a brilliant scarlet in autum. The plant has a cascading, weeping habit, which makes it a stunning focal point in any garden.  Typically they grow to about 1.8 - 2.4 meters tall and wide.  They are happy in full sun to part shade. Mulching helps retain soil moisture and keeps the roots cool. It's best to avoid hot, dry sites and strong winds.
