manuka, Leptospermum scoparium Leptospermum scoparium is a slow-growing, upright evergreen shrub often cultivated as an ornamental plant in gardens and landscapes. It typically reaches heights of 3-4 meters and produces clusters of small, white to pink flowers during the warmer months. This species is successful in a wide range of soils, including sandy loams as well as heavier types, provided drainage is reasonable.
